Bal Sohal

Bal is the Founder and Chairman of Seven Capital and an experienced investor in the hospitality and real estate sectors. Bal has considerable experience of complex real estate transactions, including deal structuring, financing and the successful monetisation of projects both in the UK and overseas.

Damien Siviter

Damien has more than 20 years of experience in residential real estate. Since joining the firm, Damien has formulated and implemented the group’s residential investment strategy, which has included both fundraising and execution of agreed business plans across a current pipeline of over 5000 units. Through his drive, enthusiasm and thought leadership, Damien has been instrumental in some of the organisations major acquisitions. His ability to find value in large-scale mixed opportunities within major towns and cities is second to none.

Prior to joining Seven Capital, Damien successfully established his own residential development company. Over that period Damien originated, secured planning permissions, constructed and sold in excess of 500 homes and apartments schemes along with a number of hotel development / investments.

Andy Foote

During the past 22 years Andy has successfully built five businesses within the Motor Finance, Residential Property, Recruitment and Charity Sectors.

He currently sits on the boards of Seven Invest, The Brain Tumour Charity, Alexander Daniels and University of Nottingham Impact Board.

Along with his co-directors, Andy has built the distribution channel at Seven Capital which offers investors a unique 360-degree service, including sales, mortgages, furniture, property management, rental and exit.

Andy is a keen fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity through The Joseph Foote Charity Ball, and various other challenges, he aims to raise £500,000 each year.

Phil Carlin

Phil is a Director of Seven Capital and a qualified Chartered Surveyor with a deep understanding of property fundamentals across a number of sectors and markets. He brings 18 years of experience to the firm having been involved in numerous investment and development projects with values in excess of £2bn. He is seasoned in deal structuring and acquisitions having been at the forefront of a number of complex projects both in the UK and overseas.

Over the past few years he has positioned the firm to become a significant participant in the UK real estate market. Today these same opportunities form the majority of the firm’s current London and Midlands development activity which is in excess of 1.5m sq ft including several hotels, offices and a residential pipeline of over 5,000 units.

He is a member of the Investment Property Forum and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

John Watkins

John brings over 20 years of experience in real estate investment to Seven Capital. He has a significant track record in the formulation and implementation of investment strategies. In 2015 John created two new joint venture companies with Aventicum Capital (a joint venture between Credit Suisse and the QIA) to acquire and intensively manage offices within the M25 and shopping centres. A bank facility for the vehicles was also arranged with Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

From 2009 to 2012 he was a director at Ediston Properties where he responsible for the establishment and deployment of funds within the Ediston Opportunity Fund. This included winning investment from two leading UK Fund of Funds Managers. Prior to Ediston, from 2006 to 2009, John was a Director of Fund Management at M&G (Prudential) running the £850m M&G Pooled Pension Fund, the Ex Scot AM Net and Pension Funds (£350m), and the Distribution Bond (£90m), taking Scot Am Funds to top quartile from 98th and 99th position within 2 years. He also achieved top 10 position for the Pooled Pension Fund within two years of management.

From 2002 he spent 5 years at Standard Life Investments as a portfolio manager working on £1.8bn Unit Linked Life Fund acquiring an average of £100m of assets every year. Earlier roles include the Berkeley Group Plc as Commercial Development Manager responsible for the commercial development on schemes in Central London.

Angleen Malik

Angleen is the Director of Seven Capital Dubai LLC. With a career spanning over two decades across three business centres; New York City, Mumbai and Dubai she has a wealth of experience in the financial services sector.

Prior to Seven Capital, Angleen spent twelve years at Rakbank in Dubai, where she headed the private banking and offshore divisions. Her repertoire at Rakbank included business development and relationship management of the bank’s high net worth and ultra-high net worth client base. Angleen’s forte lies in forming strong relationships with her clients and managing their banking and financial services requirements with utmost acumen and discretion.

Angleen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and a Law degree from Mumbai University.

Graeme Canning

Graeme has over 30 years of experience in commercial property investment, development and asset management across all UK asset classes.

An Investment Director at Prudential Portfolio Investment Managers Ltd (now M&G) for nearly 20 years, he was responsible for acquisitions, disposals and development, including all aspects of portfolio and asset management. During this period he spent over 12 years leading a team responsible for the £1.6bn West End retail and office portfolio, before heading up a retail warehouse fund team.

From 2004 he was the Director of Fund Management for Berkshire Property Asset Management Ltd, a niche provider of extremely active “hands on” commercial asset management services, dedicated to securing optimum performance for a number of clients from private investment banks, overseas trusts, property companies and private individuals. The company specialised in the provincial multi-let industrial and office market sectors.

At Seven Capital Graeme has been involved in numerous investment transactions and heads up the Asset Management team, with focus on in-house and joint venture funds such as the UKSEI Ltd and the CT Properties Ltd Funds.

Graeme has the significant experience of being involved in over £1.0bn of real estate transactions – acquisitions, disposals and developments – during his career to date. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Angus Baillie

Angus brings over 19 years of real estate experience to Seven Capital. He is focused on acquiring value-add opportunities for the business, covering all sectors of the industry. Angus’ strengths are in his versatility and wide ranging experience in the property market.

Prior to working with Seven Capital Angus worked for London and Scottish Investments acquiring income-producing assets with value-add opportunities for the two managed funds which publicly listed 2015 to create Regional REIT. Prior to this he ran the property portfolio for a substantial London based, Middle Eastern trust / family office focussing on wealth preservation. Angus started his career at Knight Frank in 1997 and spent 11 years with the company.

Angus is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Simon Dicken

Simon brings over 18 years of experience of real estate development and investment to Seven Capital. He prides himself in his ability to find new opportunities throughout the UK and focuses his attention on commercial investment, mix use development, residential development and industrial development.

Prior to joining Seven Capital he worked in real estate asset management at The Royal Bank of Scotland in London. Within his role he was responsible for asset managing a wide range of commercial investments, industrial development and residential development. Whilst at RBS Simon also advised and deleveraged the wider bank on over £1000m of property assets within the UK.

Prior to this Simon worked for Jones Lang LaSalle in London, Birmingham and overseas in Australasia. Simon started his career with Chesterton, later moving over to Savills focussing on major mixed use schemes in and around the Central London area.

Simon is a member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Samuel Clark

Samuel is Development Director at Seven Capital. He has particular experience in the delivery of residential development schemes from city centre apartment projects to estate housing and high value single assets.

Most recently he worked as Development Director for a regulated fund investing in residential development projects across the UK backed by Lloyds Banking Group and the Homes & Communities Agency. His career started at Davis Langdon where he was responsible for consultancy across a broad range of sectors including, retail, industrial, hospitality and mixed use with end values of up to £500m and latterly advising on the delivery of Hamad International Airport, Qatar.

He is a member of the Investment Property Forum and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Neil Martin

Neil has 20 years of finance and property experience. He trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG where he also gained valuable post-qualification experience. Having benefitted from two external secondments Neil moved on to gain considerable expertise in hospitality and property. Neil spent ten years in a large corporate that grew, floated and joined the FTSE100 where he held senior operational, property and financial roles at director level. Since then he has been Finance Director in a PE backed business and other large organisations. He has a strong track record for delivery along with creating value in both high growth and turnaround situations. Playing pivotal roles in major acquisitions, mergers and divestment, Neil has worked closely with banks and investors to raise finance, refinance and consensually restructure as well as implement a successful IPO. Neil is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Charlotte Thursfield

Heading up Customer Service at Seven Capital, Charlotte brings over 20 years senior management and leadership expertise to Seven Capital.

Charlotte started her career as a Trainee Accountant for Concentric PLC, and then found her passion for real estate at Chesterton overseeing Client Accounting.  Moving to Jacksons Stops and Staff, Charlotte set up the Midland Division of Client Management Services and headed this for several years, looking after in excess of 400 clients.

Charlotte then went on to work as a Senior Manager in the charitable sector for 13 years as Head of Facilities of Office Management for Mencap.  A key player in the strategic direction of the charity responsible for acquiring buildings whilst overseeing the charity’s portfolio of properties whilst adhering to the Charity Commission.

Charlotte has set up companies including an independent estate agency and a third sector serviced office facility.

At Seven Capital she now oversees the Customer Service Team. She is passionate about nothing other than excellent customer service, ensuring that clients are provided with a complete hassle free service from initial enquiry through to after sales care.

Phil Hulme

Phil is Director at Seven Capital’s media business Seven Media.

His specialism is in the niche £1 billion per annum Out of Home (OOH) advertising sector, where it overlaps with real estate. Phil has developed over 100 different out of home media sites in the UK, used by the world’s largest brands such as Samsung and Apple.

Since joining the team in September 2013 he has developed the largest temporary advertising hoarding in the UK and developed three ‘full motion’ digital OOH screens on the roadside adding £2.1m value to clients’ holdings. With his unique insight into the world of media Phil is able to assist with all types of branding, media architecture, new site development, investment and strategic asset management.

Phil has obtained a Post Graduate Certificate (2012), Post Graduate Diploma (2013) and Msc (2016) in Real Estate at the College of Estate Management, University of Reading (with a specialism in Real Estate Economics, Valuation, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Analysis, and Development Appraisal).
